Made from iron, this horseshoe is rustic brushed finished.  Yes this horseshoe is quite heavy, so we recommend hanging the horseshoe with hammer tacks or even displaying it in a shadow box.  The horseshoe is ready-to-hang, however you may wish to incorporate it into a wreath, or turn it into a wall hanging.
